I used to spend so much time fretting about spacing of my carrots or radishes, whereas it’s really not important for the home gardener.
Focus on nurturing good soil, and if your veggies are too close together, wait until they are big enough to enjoy as “baby” veggies then thin them out to the correct distance.
You also get increased chances of getting the veg in the first place because you’ve put out more seed.
There’s not really a loss to be honest.
